The Plague of Lunch Laziness
You ever ate such a big meal during lunch that it makes it hard for you to continue completing work? (raises both hands high)
Less productivity after lunch can hurt you if it is noticed over and over again. The last thing you want is for you to be fired for sleeping on the job because of your lack of getting work done. The best thing to do to break this habit is to eat small, balanced meals throughout the day.
Sure, when you start your work day, you are inundated with a plethora of tasks and do not have the time to eat in the morning. However, if you eat a small meal (i.e. cereal, bagel with cream cheese), it will hold you until lunch so that you aren't starving. When you eat lunch, I would suggest to stay away from eating an excessive amount of fried and greasy foods or else you'll be yawning for the remainder of the afternoon.
One might ask, 'What if I can only eat during my lunch because of how my mornings are set up?' In situations like these, it helps to be more active after lunch (i.e. take a walk, ride a bike) so that you do not succumb to laziness.
No matter which approach you take, it is not worth it to lose your job because of your choice of eating a full meal during lunch.
