Fear of The Other Side

When you do not know what is on the other side, it can be daunting and frightening to take the first step toward changing for the better. This happens mainly because you are unsure of the unknown and how to react when things do not actually pan out the way you expected. Taking risks while on your career path in life is worthwhile. You just have to trust your instincts and go with the flow.

Nevertheless, if you find yourself in times like these, my first suggestion would be to eliminate all voices from outside influences of people that have not been through what you are planning to experience in life. They are not helpful to you and will only hold you back. Reach out to role models who have been successful in their careers and who you can gain quality and sound advice from.

Secondly, when in fear of the other side, explore and try new things in your personal life. Whether it is a food dish you’ve never had or embarking on a cruise to the Bahamas, it’s an invigorating feeling! This rush of energy fulfillment will carry on to your work life where you won’t fear taking risks.

Lastly, not every move you make toward your goal will go as planned. Which is why it is vital that you take time to put together a contingency plan. I’m a firm believer that you only need Plan A. If you have Plan B and Plan C already established then how can you really focus on Plan A only? Which is why taking the time to restructure the path of your current plan is essential to your growth and success in your career.

The grass may not be green on the other side but that doesn’t mean that you can’t make it green.

Cheers to pimping!
