When you look at a snail, the first thing you notice is how slow they are. We live in a society where everything is rushed. However, snails are taking their time to get to their destination which is something we all can take notice of and adopt in our everyday lives.
By all means, this does not equate to taking your sweet and precious time in staying stagnant and complacent. However, I am referring to taking your time to evaluate each step on your journey toward success in regards to your career. Everyone wants it now but with careful planning and patience, any goal is attainable to reach.
In 2006, when I graduated from college, I yearned to earn six figures in corporate America but realized that I had to work hard to get there. So, that is exactly what I did. I switched jobs multiple times to figure out what it is that I was passionate about and can also make six figures. It took me five years after graduation to make the money I desired to acquire and was able to achieve this goal because I did not rush it.
We all have dreams and goals that we aspire to achieve. Continue putting in the work even though it may seem as though the end of the tunnel is unreachable. Anything worth achieving in life takes time. So when you're upset that you haven't reached your goal yet, think about the flow of the snail. Slow and steady wins the race every time.
